Roemer Capital joins the VIII Cbonds Conference on Uzbekistan's capital market as Official Partner

Tashkent / Limassol — 17 September 2026. Roemer Capital (Europe) Limited is an Official Partner of the VIII International Conference «Capital Market of the Republic of Uzbekistan», organised by Cbonds and held today at the Hilton Tashkent City. The conference brings together around 250 participants: regulators, issuers, commercial banks, investment firms, market infrastructure institutions and international financial organisations.
The Group's representative will take part in the expert dialogue "Local Capital Market Transactions: Liquidity, Issuers and New Financial Instruments". The session covers the corporate bond market, the country's first securitisation transactions, the launch of foreign currency-denominated bonds, investor demand, and the factors that determine secondary market liquidity.
Uzbekistan's market has moved quickly. Corporate bond issuance has grown several times over since 2023, exchange turnover has risen sharply across the same period, the regulator has opened a framework for foreign currency-denominated corporate bonds through the regulatory sandbox, and the Tashkent International Financial Centre was launched earlier this year. Inclusion of local-currency sovereign bonds in a major emerging market index takes effect at the end of September. Primary issuance is no longer the constraint. The open question is what happens after the deal prices — whether a buyer can find a seller at a workable spread six months later.
Roemer Capital works with financial institutions, investment funds, corporate and private clients on cross-border access between developed and frontier or emerging markets, covering execution, corporate finance advisory and capital markets.
